Why the "Tree of Knowledge"? Back in colonial New England folks would post notes on a tree, some sealed private letters left for friends & family to exchange but mostly broadsheets for all the public to read, basically our first post office, they referred to those trees as the local "Tree of Knowledge". Later many of those same trees became known as Liberty Trees.

I thought perhaps a snap shot of the current political landscape in Massachusetts would make a useful first post as a point of reference for future posts.

Pretty much a sad state of affairs with no change in sight. One wonders how the Founders would feel about one party controlling the lives of so many of their fellow citizens?
